Our Mission:
 BARCfirst, is one of the regional Financial Sector coalitions that were inspired by ChicagoFIRST. 

Formed in November of 2006, the purpose of the organization is to encourage financial sector institutions to work with each other, the Public Sector, and other organizations with a role in crisis preparedness and response, toward enhanced mutual resiliency.

Our Membership

Membership is comprised of representatives from the Financial Sector, the Public Sector, Critical Infrastructure Service Providers, and other organizations with which we partner.  A Steering Committee that meets or conferences together on a monthly basis is the core membership.  Individuals who represent organizations in the member categories above, but do not wish to participate in Steering Committee meetings, can be placed on our contact list and will be advised of BARCfirst important updates and events.

Our Leadership

Steering Committee leadership is comprised of a Steering Committee Chair, a Vice-Chair, and a Secretary, with up to 15 voting Steering Committee members who are representatives of financial institutions, with no more than one voting member from any one institution.

Our Structure

Our structure is currently informal, however we will be seeking incorporation as a California non-profit 501(c)(6).
